To Zimbabwe with Love

Guardian angels

"For You (God) have sent your angels to watch over me, to guide me in all my ways. On their hands, they will bear me up, lest I dash my foot upon a stone. Though I walk among those who roar like the lion, or are as stealthy as the adder, in your strength will I be saved." Psalm 91:11-13

Do you believe in angels? I do and so do many others. I am convinced God has sent legions of unseen guardian angels to Zimbabwe. Ever since the beginning of time, divinely sent angelic beings have visited the earth, carrying holy messages of hope, comfort, exhortation and warnings. Sometimes we entertain angels unaware, as we provide hospitality and sanctuary to people in need. Guardian angels are everywhere.

Psalm 91 offers us timeless comfort, wisdom and strength. Anyone, who dwells in the shadow of the Most High God, can rest securely in the shadow of the Almighty. God is enough to save us from enemies who roar like lions or creep up against us stealthy as venomous snakes.

Trust in God alone for your strength, and you can rest confidently in the darkest of nights, free from terror. In the strength of God, you do not need to fear deadly pestilence and plagues that destroy and devour. When God is your refuge and sanctuary, you can be secure in the knowledge that guardian angels are everywhere, vigilantly keeping watch over you and your beloved country.

Psalm 91 concludes with the encouraging reminder that God is with us in trouble, and will honor and answer our heart cries for help. God cares deeply for suffering people and our guardian angels are a blessing from heaven when life is dreary, friends are few, and life is very hard indeed.

I thank God for Zimbabwe's guardian angels. I pray you be touched by such an angel today.

Prayer: Strengthen us for this day, Almighty God. And thank you for providing guardian angels, who have come from your holy and powerful presence, to accompany us in safety and danger, in sickness and health. Bless Zimbabwe with an abundance of such comforting and protective angels for every man, woman and child, we pray. Amen.
