To Zimbabwe with Love

Knowledge Is Power

"O LORD, you have searched my and known me. You know when I sit down
and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away."
  Psalm 139:1–2

It is universally known that knowledge is power. In the reading of Psalm 139, you will find an abundance of faith and knowledge that can sustain you in times of crisis and need, and equip you in your daily walk with Almighty God.

Allow this psalm to enter into your soul, as God lovingly searches your heart and mind with illuminating, guiding divine light and truth. Relax in the knowledge that God already knows everything about you, including all thoughts and feelings. Yes, the LORD knows you through and through and loves you unconditionally. With this tremendous insight, rest assured of God's tender concern and involvement in your life.

Ponder this mind-boggling fact. The Maker of the universe is aware of every detail of your daily routine. Sitting, standing, walking, resting, God is alert and attentive to your every breath and movement.

The Holy One knows all and there is great joy in being deeply known by this All Knowing God. God has taken the initiative to know us in an astonishing "I–Thou" relationship, and knows us perfectly, more than we know ourselves.

Such powerful knowledge can birth a new relationship with the Holy. Every time you sit or stand, be aware of God's loving presence as you move your body. Let your thoughts and emotions deepen your attentiveness to God's constant presence. With such mindful awareness, you will quickly find great comfort and security in the knowledge that God is actively present in your life, your beloved country and the world.

Here is a power thought: God is closer to you than your breathing, nearer than your hands and feet. Therefore, take courage as you go about your daily activities. Sleeping or waking, God is with you even to the ends of the earth and nothing can separate you from this divine love and providential care.

Prayer: With the psalmist, O LORD, I praise you and marvel at your interest and activity in my life. Holy One, bless Zimbabwe and those I love during these times of hardship and uncertainty. Amen.
